How it works
Enter who survives the deceased, the estate and any debts or a will. Debts and funeral costs are paid first, then a will of up to one third, and the rest is divided by the fixed shares of the Quran and the residuary rules agreed by the four schools. Spouse, children, grandchildren through sons, parents, full siblings and maternal siblings are covered. Grandparents, paternal half-siblings and other relatives are not, so use this as a guide and have a qualified scholar confirm.
